About Ara Pacis Museum
This website started as a passion project for what was at the time one of the newest and most controversial museums in Rome, the new Ara Pacis Museum by Richard Meier. Since then (2005!) it has evolved into an evergreen guide to the Ara Pacis, with additional personal tips on the art, culture, history, and food of Rome. It features in depth knowledge and personal opinions on a selection of the museums, art, architecture, and churches of the Eternal City, as well as information and recommendations on where to eat, shop, and stay, along with practical travel tips and advice.
About Anthony Finta
I'm Anthony Finta, the founder and editor of Ara Pacis Museum and Florence-On-Line. I've been writing about Rome and Florence for over 20 years, with a focus on practical travel information for English-speaking visitors. I visit both cities regularly and update these guides based on firsthand experience and extensive research.
